Welcome Sir Dominates 5 Yr. OldsJudith Ribbels presented Welcome Sir (Sir Sinclair x Fruhling) at the Pavo Cup selection for 5 year old dressage horses. The stallion was excellent in the ring. The KWPN Commission said: `the side-passes were a pleasure to look at`, and `Welcome Sir has three very good gaits and has a very elegant movement`.

Ravel and Steffen Peters Win at Del Mar CDI-WSteffen Peters has made no secret of his intentions that Ravel [by Contango x Democraat] will be his candidate for the U.S. Olympic team for the Hong Kong Games. Contango was named second.

Judgement Jumps 6'4" in Animal Planet CupThe venue was the Syracuse Invitational Sport Horse Tournament, the class was Phase II of the Animal Planet Cup with 7 riders competing for the $50,000 prize. Judgement and Beezie Madden won this event last year, and nearly scored a repeat this year.

Judgement and Beezie on Winning Super League TeamJudgement ISF and Beezie Madden were part of the US Team that won the Samsung Super League tournament at Hickstead, London. The pair with 4/0 faults helped squeeze the British home team out of first place. This win was sorely needed to bring the US Team up to 5th Place on the leaderboard with only one competition to go in the series. The final round will be held in Dublin.

KWPN APPROVED: CITANGO by CONTANGOThe NA/WPN bred stallion Vitamorkus was approved by the KWPN after completing the 70-Day test. The stallion now carries the name Citango because he was previously approved by the NRPS where the name of the sire determines the name of the offspring.

FHANA STALLION CERTIFICATES for 2006 FOALSWe have decided to do things a little differently this year in regard to sending out stallion certificates. Previously we sent the certificate out at the end of the breeding season in anticipation of the foal's arrival the following spring. Going forward we will send the certificate after the foal is born. So be sure to contact us when the happy event occurs. Call or write if you have any questions. |
SHOWING YOUR SPORT HORSE IN HANDIron Spring Farm and the United States Dressage Federation have produced a video that will help you prepare for showing your horse in hand at breed shows or keurings. What will be most useful for keuring participants is the instruction on how to trot your horse, keeping control, while allowing the conformation of your horse to be shown in the best light.
